Zante, Zakynthos or Fiore di Levante (flower of the East) is the third largest island in the Ionian Sea in Western Greece. Its 123 km long coastline contains some of the World’s most beautiful and well known touristic attractions such as Navagio or Shipwreck beach, Gerakas beach, Marathonisi islet, the blue caves and so many more. Zante’s multi-cultural character was shaped throughout its history. Later for a period of roughly 70 years French, Russians and English succeeded power over the island until 1864 21st of May, when Zante was united, as well as the rest of the Ionian Islands, with Greece.
